Agadir to the desert: planning a Foum Zguid journey
Plan a Sahara journey from Agadir, with a clear distinction between the road transfer, possible Taroudant stop and the desert experience.
Start with the desert stage
Agadir is a coastal departure point, while Foum Zguid is the meeting point for our local desert routes. Plan the connection between them as part of the journey. A price for a trek starting in Foum Zguid does not automatically include collection in Agadir.
Decide whether you want a night in the dunes, several days on foot with a caravan or a combination of vehicle travel and shorter walks. These choices determine how much time should remain after the transfer.
Taroudant as a possible stop
Taroudant is a town in southern Morocco that can be considered when discussing a route from the Agadir area. A town visit requires time away from the vehicle. Specify whether you want a short break, a guided visit or a night there.
Do not assume that a transfer includes every town visible on the map. Adding Taroudant, Taliouine or other stops may change the day’s schedule. Ask for the proposed route before booking accommodation independently.
Compare transfers and desert time separately
Request a quote showing the pickup point, road stages, overnight locations, desert activity and final drop-off. Check whether the return follows the same route or continues elsewhere. A journey finishing in Marrakech needs different planning from a return to Agadir.

Make room for arrival changes
Tell us your arrival date and time before setting the first desert stage. Travel plans should leave room for the road journey and practical stops. Exact timings depend on the agreed route and conditions; a generic map estimate is not a confirmed itinerary.
If you are staying on the coast before or after the trip, send the actual accommodation location. “Agadir area” can mean a different pickup from the city centre.
