The Souss road to the desert is the one most visitors never take, and it is a good one: the ramparts of Taroudant, lunch in the Souss valley, a saffron cooperative in Taliouine (we take no commission there), and tea in Foum Zguid as the afternoon cools. The first night is in a guesthouse in the oasis, so that day two is entirely desert.
That day is the full programme — the dry lake, the Colorado marocain and the fossil plateau, a nomad lunch, sunset at the dunes, camel ride, Berber dinner, night at the bivouac — and the third morning starts with a sunrise walk on the ridges before the drive back to the coast, with an evening drop-off at your hotel.

Itinerary
Day 1 · 08:00 — Agadir · Taroudant · Taliouine · Foum Zguid
Departure from your accommodation, the ramparts of Taroudant, lunch in the Souss valley, the saffron cooperative in Taliouine, tea in Foum Zguid in the afternoon. Night in a guesthouse.
Day 2 — Lac Iriki · Erg Chegaga
A full desert day: the dry lake, the Colorado marocain and the fossil plateau, nomad lunch, arrival at the dunes for sunset. Camel ride, Berber dinner, night in the equipped bivouac.
Day 3 — Return to the coast
Sunrise walk on the ridges, breakfast, out of the desert and back to the coast; evening drop-off at your hotel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is pickup in Taghazout or Tamraght really included?
Yes, without supplement — they are twenty minutes from Agadir.
Can it be done in two days?
Possible but not recommended: eight hours of road and five of track in two days. The three-day version serves the desert far better; the alternative is a Lac Iriki day with a night in Foum Zguid.
Do children cope with the route?
Yes — driving stages are broken every 90 minutes (ramparts, saffron, palm groves) and day two is entirely in the desert. Child seats from about four.
Season?
The road runs year-round; the bivouac from September to early June. In summer, a night at the oasis and an early Lac Iriki run replace the dune night.
