The three-day tour goes to Chegaga and back; this one draws a real loop. Two nights at the great erg give you an entire day with nothing to drive — dawn in the dunes, sandboard, siesta in the shade, tea with a nomad family — before the 4x4 heads west through local tracks and an oasis to the small erg of El Mhazil, where you will be the only camp for the night.
The return follows the flanks of Jbel Bani past carvings of antelopes and hunting scenes, and ends with lunch in the village early on the afternoon of day four. Three different camps, and not one place seen twice.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Foum Zguid · Lac Iriki · Erg Chegaga
Departure after lunch across Lac Iriki and the Colorado marocain, arriving at the dunes for sunset. Camel ride, Berber dinner, first night at camp.
Day 2 — A whole day in Erg Chegaga
Dawn walk in the dunes, then the day is yours: sandboard, siesta in the shade of the tents, tea with a nomad family. Second night at the same camp.
Day 3 — Erg Chegaga to Erg El Mhazil
West by local tracks with an oasis stop, arriving at the small erg of El Mhazil — total solitude for the third night.
Day 4 — Rock carvings and return
Along the flanks of Jbel Bani with stops at the carvings, lunch in the village; the loop ends early afternoon.

How is it different from the 3-day tour?
The 3-day tour is an out-and-back to Chegaga. This is a real loop with three different camps and a completely free day in the dunes.
Good for families?
Yes — shorter daily drives than the 3-day tour, and day two has no driving at all.
Can it be extended?
To five or six days via M’hamid and the Draa valley, or deeper into the national park.
Group price?
